NEW MEDIA
Pol Klein is a creative director, front-end developer, designer, motion graphic video producer and educator. For Palladium, a $500M international corporation, Pol provided creative direction, design and development of print, web applications, and motion graphic video. These products were used by governments in developing countries to improve the lives of their citizens. At Boston University, Center for Digital Imaging Arts, Pol served as the Director for the Graphic & Web Program where he designed curriculum, hired and coached instructors, and taught graphic design and responsive UI web development. Pol is proficient in: Adobe Creative Suite (CC), including Premiere Pro and After Effects for motion graphic video, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and (learning) React JS and Angular JS.
SOCIETY & TECHNOLOGY
In addition to new media, Pol has conducted international diplomacy and trade for the UK Foreign Service. He has also conducted international economic development for US Government funded programs and Mercy Corps, an international humanitarian non-profit. Pol began his career as a telecommunications software engineer. He holds a certificate in graphic & web design from Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts, a BSEE in computer and software engineering from University of Vermont, an MSEE in digital communications from Rutgers University, an MPA in international economics from Harvard University, and an MSP in spiritual psychology from University of Santa Monica. In addition to higher education, Pol enjoys film, bicycling, design, recreational motorcycling and driving.
